Delaware is a small state located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. I've been browsing the internet trying to find some interesting facts about Delaware, but, really, there aren't any. But here are a few bits of information you probably did not now about the state:
- In case you didn't read what the Delaware state quarter says, Delaware was the first state to ratify the constitution.
- Delaware is the only state without any National Park System units such as national parks, seashores, historic sites, battlefields, memorials, and monuments.
- The most historic site in Delaware is Barratt's Chapel (no relation). The chapel is where the Methodist Church of America was organized in 1784.
- The Lady Bug is Delaware's official state bug.
- Delaware is sometimes referred to as the Blue Hen State, after its state bird, the Blue Hen.
- Delaware is the second smallest state.
- Delaware was considered the three lower counties of Pennsylvania until the American Revolution.
- Delaware has the lowest median elevation of any state at 59 ft. above sea level.
- Delaware is named after the first Governor of Virginia, Lord de la Warr (really!)
- Delaware's state slogan is Its good being first!
- Study for the GRE every day, boring, right??
- Write three papers
- Spend time with my family.
