Seven months!

Baby Stephen turned 7 months December 7th! We have been so busy the past few weeks with finals and work that I haven't had time to blog. Baby Stephen has been such a joy in our lives. He is growing and changing so much it makes me sad! I love his cuddly baby self. This month he learned how to sit up pretty well. He also enjoys his stroller and car seat more. He also sat in a shopping cart for the first time!

Baby Stephen is a big boy! He weighs about 22 lbs and is about 29 inches tall.

Vacation time

Stephen's family has been planning a trip to Florida and the Bahamas the past few years and this November we finally went! It was a great trip! We flew down to Florida on a red eye (bad idea with a 6 mo old) and met up with Stephens family. Everyone in his family went with the exception of one baby so there were 14 adults and 17 kids!

The first few days we went to different theme parks; Disney's magical kingdom, universal studio's islands if adventure, and Disney's animal kingdom. It was so much fun! And baby Stephen did really well. He took 3 naps a day in his stroller.

After the theme parks we drove to cape canaveral and went on a Disney cruise! It was my first time on a cruise. It was a lot of fun except I got a little sea sick. I loved the food on the ship and all the stuff there was to do.

The ship took us to two different places. The first was Nassau, Bahamas and the second was an island owned by Disney called castaway cay. We loved the beautiful beach!

After the cruise we went to an alligator farm in Orlando then flew back to salt lake. We spent thanksgiving in Utah and then flew home to California. It was a great vacation!

Six months!

I'm way behind on blogging! Baby Stephen turned 6 months on November 8th! It is crazy how fast he has grown! This month he...

Got better at rolling. He can now roll from front to back and back to front quite easily.

He started taking naps in his crib!

Started eating solids regularly. He loves sweet potatoes the most.

Visited his first Foreign country (the Bahamas)

He really enjoys watching baby Einstein while sitting in his jumperoo.

He has two bottom teeth!

He likes to coo and laugh

We are so in love with him!

Five months!

I am so slow at updating my blog! Baby Stephen turned 5 mo on October 8 th! He has become much more active this month. And can now roll over both ways. He will see a toy he wants and try to roll over or kick his legs to move himself to get it.

His favorite toys are things that are not really toys at all such as remote controls, DVD cases, plastic cups, and my iPhone. He is a very curious baby and loves going to new places and seeing new things.

He started eating solids this month and so far he likes carrots, peaches, pests, sweet potatoes. But he does not like zucchini!

He loves going on walks and watching kids play in the park. He doesn't really like his stroller. He prefers being held.

He loves it when we sing to him and especially loves animal sounds. They get his attention right away and make him stop crying. I can't believe how fast time has passed. It has been a great 5 months.

Visitors

We love having visitors! We have had people visit us almost every month since we moved to California. Over the weekend Stephen's brother Justin and his wife traci came to town. Since Stephen's birthday was earlier this week they brought him an awesome birthday present and took us out to dinner. In addition to a Justin bieber card, they got Stephen an external hard drive with tons of movies on it and a thing to play the movies on our tv with. I can't wait to start watching them!

The first day they came in I had work. But Stephen went with them to a giants game. The next day I also had work. But after work we met up with them in San Francisco and walked around haight ashbury which is where all the hippies use to hang out back in the day. We saw some pretty interesting things there.

For dinner we went to Tony's pizza in the north beach neighborhood. It took so long to find a parking spot. Once we got to the restaurant there was a nearly two hour wait. The longest I have ever waited at a restaurant. But we wanted to try it because it was supposed to have the best pizza in the country. It was pretty good. We shared a huge pizza with three sections. It was supposed to be like a three course meal.

The next day we went to breakfast at Bette's ocean view diner on fourth street in Berkeley. It was featured on diners drive ins an dives. Stephen got a banana run souffle pancake and scrapple. I had fish tacos. After breakfast we drove down highway one and stopped at a pretty beach called gray whale cove. We had to walk down a bunch of steps because the beach was surrounded by cliffs. It was really pretty. We even saw a naked guy. But we weren't close enough to make out any body parts.

We finished the day off by walking around union square and looking at some shops. It was fun to have Justin and traci in town. I was sad to see them go. Here are some pics

Four months

Baby Stephen is now four months old! He gained a lot of weight since his last well-baby checkup and now weighs 17 lbs 12 ounces and is 26.5 inches long! He is such a chubster!

He learned how to roll over this month and also knows how to put himself I sleep at night! He doesn't nap well during the day but can sleep up to 12 and a half ours straight at night!

I returned to work this past month. It has been hard to leave baby Stephen. But I'm glad that Stephen is able to stay at home with him while I am at work.

Baby Stephen loves reading stories with his dad and often tries to turn the pages of his board books by himself. Baby Stephen loves being forward-facing in his baby carrier especially when we are out and about at the grocery store or at target.

We sure do love our little guy!

Three months!

Baby Stephen turned three months old on August eighth. And boy, has time flied! He became much more social this past month. He loves it when you sing songs to him or talk to him. And he usually tries to sing and talk back. His favorite songs include you are my sunshine, popcorn popping on an apricot tree, and three little ducks.

This month he learned to start grabbing stuff. He loves to grab our fingers, clothes, his toys, blankets, and pretty much everything in reach.

Here are some pictures.
