Change we can believe in
Although I am relieved that Barack Obama won the election, I am still quite apprehensive about what his presidency will be like. I favored Obama's stances on key issues to John Mccain's, but I am not too confident that the change Obama has promised will come anytime soon. Obama has stressed the domestic issues in his platform mush like George W Bush did when he ran for office. I fear that the much needed reform will take the back burner to the more pressing issues of Afghanistan and Iraq much like social secuirty reform and immigration reform did soon after Bush was elected. But regardless of my fears and apprehension, I know that Obama was the best, although not the ideal, canidate in this election. Obama has promised to, "hit the ground running," and I think it will be interesting to see if he can deliver.

Amanda - I'm with you! I'm pretty much behind him at this point, but he has definitely said some ambiguous things (land invasion of Pakistan? Best friend of Israel?) that lead me to wonder about his foreign policy...anyway, we should talk more about this, because most people are just like "blah blah blah Middle East yeah Mackenzie shut up" when I start in... ;) Let's go to a show or something!
Oh yes, and what is with him wanting to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel... that will bring many many problems! Yes we should talk, It has been over a year since I've seen you!
