Visitors!

We love having visitors! Ever since we came back from Singapore we have been busy with visitors. My sister Emily had a class trip planned to the u.s. so I flew back with her and spent time with her and some of her classmates. Since my brother doesn't get many opportunities to see my sister he drove out here with Heidi. It was nice to spend some time with them as well. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge, golden gate park, he California academy of science, shopping, and out to eat.

A few days after they left Stephens parents came to visit. It is always nice to have them in town. We went to eat at some of our favorite places, muir woods, muir beach, and to the girl with the pearl earring exhibit at the de young museum. It was a good time.

10 months! (A little late)

My baby turned 10 months on march 8th. We were in Singapore at the time so I didn't bother blogging about it. I can't believe how much he has grown! He is now army-crawling all over the place and pulling out things from shelfs and drawers. He now has four teeth on top and two on the bottom. He loves eating all foods! So far we haven't found anything he doesn't like. His favorites include fish, Cheerios, yogurt, and bananas.

Singapore food

One of my favorite things to do in Singapore is eat!! Before I got there I made a list of all the foods I wanted to eat. Singapore is a Very diverse country and its cuisine is a fusion of Asian, south East Asian, and Indian foods. My favorite things to eat include:

Chicken rice
Roti prata
Chili crab
Black pepper crab
Satay
Rojak
Duck noodles
Sushi
Char shiew
Ang keh kuay
Kuay tu tu
Dim sum

I managed to eat pretty much anything on my list and more! In Singapore, outdoor food stalls are abundant. They often group together to form a hawker center. Food there is fresh, cheap, and delicious. Most of the food I mentioned can be found easily at a hawker center. Here are some pics!

Singapore

Stephen had to go to Vietnam for school this February so baby and I decided to tag along and go to Singapore. It was baby Stephens first trip to Singapore and It was fun to introduce him to a lot of new family members! My mom has nine siblings so needless to say we spent a lot of time visiting family!

The plane ride to Singapore was an event itself. It took over 20 hours to get there! Baby Stephen hardly slept the whole flight so we were exhausted when we arrived. We spent most of our time visiting family. I have been to Singapore many times so I was not interested in going to many of the attractions.

Singapore is always changing so there were a few new things to see. We went to the gardens by the bay, the marina bay sands hotel, and the SEA aquarium which is the biggest aquarium in the world. It was fun. I don't like going around too much though because Singapore is soooo hot. It is right by the equator so it is hot and humid all year long.

Here are some pics from the trip!
